Ubuntu Essence the pulse of a new Africa.

ECHOES OF AFRICA

Echoes of Africa is a space for truth, reflection, and deeper conversations about the continent beyond surface narratives. It is where history is revisited, stories are reclaimed, and perspectives are challenged.

This platform exists to explore Africa in its fullness. From its rich and complex past to its evolving present, Echoes of Africa speaks on the things that matter. The history that shaped us, the systems that influence us, and the realities we live through.

It is not just about telling stories, it is about understanding them. It is about asking questions, confronting narratives, and giving voice to perspectives that are often overlooked or simplified.

Echoes of Africa is for those who want to think more deeply about Africa, engage more critically, and see beyond what is commonly presented.

UBUNTU HEROES

Ubuntu Heroes is a celebration of people who embody the spirit of Ubuntu, the belief that our humanity is deeply connected.

This space tells the stories of individuals whose lives and actions reflect impact, resilience, and purpose. From well-known figures to everyday people, Ubuntu Heroes highlights those who are shaping communities, inspiring change, and leaving meaningful footprints wherever they go.

It is not just about achievement, but about influence. Not just about success, but about how that success touches others.

Here, stories are not told for recognition alone, but to remind us that greatness exists in many forms. In quiet acts of kindness, in bold leadership, in persistence, and in the willingness to uplift others.

Ubuntu Heroes exists to honour these lives and to inspire a deeper understanding that we rise, not alone, but together.

OFF THE SHELF

Off the Shelf is a space dedicated to discovering, celebrating, and showcasing Ghanaian-made products in all their forms. From everyday essentials to creative innovations, this is where we bring attention to the things we use, wear, and experience that are made right here in Ghana.

Each week, we spotlight standout products across different categories including food and local flavours, fashion and textiles, beauty and skincare, home and lifestyle, wellness and herbal products, tech and innovation, and art and craft. We also take time to highlight the people behind the products because every item has a story worth telling.

Off the Shelf is not just about products. It is about culture, creativity, and the everyday excellence being built across Ghana. It is a place to discover what is already around us and to appreciate the value in what we often overlook.

THIS IS AFRICA

This is Africa is where the continent comes alive in colour, sound, and story. It is the entertainment and pop culture space of the platform, focused on the music, film, fashion, trends, and personalities shaping today’s African youth culture.

From Afrobeats to Amapiano, Nollywood to new wave creators, viral moments to rising stars, This is Africa captures what everyone is talking about and what everyone is about to be talking about. It is a front-row seat to the energy, creativity, and influence coming out of Africa right now.

This section is not just about entertainment, it is about expression. It reflects how young Africans are redefining culture on their own terms and taking their sound, style, and stories to the world.

This is Africa. Loud, proud, and always in motion.

JOURNAL OF A GH GIRL

Hi, I’m Mikayla Enam Ashiadey, and this is where I share everything that lives in my head when I’m overthinking, underthinking, romanticizing my life, and occasionally making very serious life decisions at 2am with zero evidence that I’m qualified to make them.

This is my personal corner of the internet where I talk about life as a Ghanaian girl navigating school, growth, friendships, soft life dreams, chaos, glow-ups, identity crises, random bursts of confidence, and those moments where you sit still and think, “wait… what am I actually doing?”

Sometimes it’s funny, sometimes it’s soft and reflective, sometimes it’s chaotic and unfiltered, and sometimes it’s me acting like I have everything together when in reality I am just winging it beautifully. Think of it as voice notes, journal entries, and late-night thoughts that were definitely meant to stay in my head… but didn’t.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re too emotional, too dramatic, too thoughtful, or just too much in general, if you’ve ever laughed at your own problems in public, overthought a simple text for three hours, or smiled like everything is fine when your brain is doing gymnastics, then you are exactly who this space is for.

We’ve always wondered what’s inside people’s journals… well, here I get to open mine and share it with you live.
